A pick only counts here if it was logged with a real market price before the game started — not added or backdated after the result was known. Every book's price is treated as the same American-odds number a real sportsbook would quote; no synthetic or model-only prices count as a real quote. CLV (closing line value) is the gap between the price you got and the market's closing price at the same book/line, converted to implied probability so it's comparable across different odds levels — the same metric sharp bettors and sportsbooks use internally, because it can't be faked on a small sample the way a raw win rate can. A push settles as a push, not dropped from the record. If a grade is ever corrected after initial settlement (a scoring error, a late official-result change), the correction is logged in grade_corrections and disclosed in the numbers below — never silently overwritten.
Every pick's hash folds in the previous pick's hash — so it isn't just "this pick has a hash," it's "this pick's hash is only valid if every pick before it is untouched too." Change one number on a pick logged three weeks ago, and every hash after it stops matching. That's not a UI badge someone could fake; it's a property of the math. Once a game finishes, the result gets sealed into a second hash the same way, so the outcome can't be quietly corrected either — corrections are logged and disclosed, not overwritten.
Once a day, the current chain-head for every user is combined into one digest and submitted to public OpenTimestamps calendar servers — free, open infrastructure OddsGap doesn't run or control — which anchor it to a Bitcoin block within a few hours. From that point, anyone can pull the raw .ots proof file and verify it with the independent, open-source ots tool, with zero trust in OddsGap required.
